Firstly, the filter inserts are missing on both sides and the whole mask is now made of a hard plastic as opposed to firm rubber.

They're not errors, as they're not supposed to be the real thing, but whatever. Since these were based on and not designed as, there's a fuck-ton of 'errors'. The voice diaphragm looks a little different too.Īs you all might know, these masks are /based/ off of old Soviet PMG masks, that saw production through 1971 to 1991 and were even used for cleaning up the Chernobyl disaster. Looks almost exactly the same, except the filter seems to be going inwards instead of outwards. They started production in the 80's, were phased into the military in the 90's and are being phased out currently. The M40 family is a series produced by and for the US military, for use against chemical/biohazardous attacks, such as nerve gas, possibly mustard gas and mustard gas, etc. It looks to be a XM40 mask, which was a prototype froom the M40 family of masks. (That filter doesn't look like it would last very long but neither do the filters on the server.) The old Greensuit model also uses this, but it's all kinds of fucked up and bent out of shape. The lenses are a bit more sunk in and the mask doesn't go as far up as it should, and thus, the model uses cloth to cover it. There's a few minor discrepancies, like having two filter inputs, the voice diaphragm on the front, plus all the ridges and whatnot. Appears to be a modified C3, an old Canadian Military mask, which started production in the 60's and ended mid 80's.
